Pitch the most unique theme you can possibly imagine! What's something that has never or rarely been done before?

You are an asocial, self-entitled and narrow minded festival-goer that only likes your particular genre. You are at a music festival and you want to be in the front line of the audience for all your favourite bands or diss fans of bands you don't like. Get merch, puke over other fans etc..
You are a universe in a multiverse that wants to dominate by expanding, having the most attractive features and squish other universes. Squish wrong and the universes merge, with creepy or wonderful results
You are both a mob boss at night and a top detective in daytime with split personality disorder. You will be hunting or battling yourself at a certain point, without your character knowing. This is actually an old idea for a graphic novel of mine :)
Build a muscle car, your skills ,parts and setup will have impact on the game mechanics you will use to get driving. While everybody drafts from a pool of resources, actions and boosts, you must plan AND improvise to gain speed on the straight parts, take the curb and drift past your opponents where necessary :)
you're a cell of a disease and you want to kill your host as soon as possible

These are hilarious. Thank you for the good laugh.

My goodness, you have a very creative brain. I love it! :)
I especially like the idea of split personality. For the disease one, it's a completely different route but it reminded me of Ozzy & Drix, an old cartoon series about cells in the body fighting off diseases.

Wow these are great! I especially love the muscle car idea.

I bet that the cell of a disease theme could be a game already. I'd certainly check it out.

When I think of stuff like this I think of games that pitches you as an underdog in a horrible situation. Examples of this sort of thing include:
Being a slave on a cotton plantation, being forced to fill quotas, being punished, etc.
Being an Anabaptist, or a Huguenot, or a Moravian, at a time when the hand of every other form of Christianity was turned against them. You will be trying to spread your religion, or immigrating to the new world, without being caught and burned alive.
Another one I have thought of centres around a man named Marcus Licinius Crassus. He was a grossly wealthy Roman in the late Roman Republic. He is most well known today for being a member of the first triumvirate. But he was a also a bit of an innovator, he designed a fire department to put out fires in the great city of Rome. But, this fire department was not a municipial organ. Rather it was a personal business. They would rush to the fire, and then stand their and haggle with the owner of the building, until he would agree to sell it to Crassus at "fire sale prices." At that point the firefighters would put out the fire. This of course brought him a certain degree of wealth and unpopularity. There were also accusations leveled that he would purposely start fires at places that he considered desirable. So, I think that it would be sort of funny to have a lighthearted game where you are competing as multiple, fictional, entrepreneurs who have their firefighters competing for wealth and property.

Of course despite all of his wealth Crassus craved military glory above everything else. He would die in the desert in a foolish attack trying to win glory. Huge embarrassment to the Romans.
Yes it was an embarrassment to the Romans. But, I think that if Crassus would have lived he would have been most mortified of all.
I think the assumption from our comments would be that Crassus was a deeply flawed individual. And the historical record does seem to bear that out. Even if you judge him according to the standards of his time.

Not really a theme, but I haven't really seen any great games that involve taste smell or touch.
Do you mean requiring the players to use their sense of smell/taste?
yeah. I've played a few games that required food, but the were really social deduction, bluffing games.
Cool, interesting suggestion.
