Played a game of Everdell and barely edged out my wife. As fun as ever.

I played my first game of Keyforge! We played with decks from Age of Ascension. I lost, unsurprisingly, but I think I like the game? Hard to say. I've never played Magic or any game along those lines before, and one of my friends is very experienced, so he of course kicked my butt. It's a very interesting game, and I like the mechanism of only being able to use cards from one of your three "houses" each turn. Looking forward to getting more plays in.

I played Nemesis (which was FANTASTIC!) at game night on Thursday. Then on Saturday I played some with my kid: Roll for Your Life, Candyman!; Zoo Ball (x2), and Crokinole. Then Patchwork (x2) on Sunday night.

I managed to play Scythe and A Feast for Odin, both solo.

I really want to play feast.

Me too, I'm curious how I'll feel about it in comparison to Viticulture EE

As mentioned in one of my posts, I got in a session of Viticulture: Essential Edition with Tuscany: Essential Edition. Fantastic experience. Hopefully it'll go much faster the next time we play (especially with me not taking forever to make my decisions sometimes :D)

Unfortunately I haven't read your post yet. How long did the game take?

Owner11 months ago

We started around 7:50pm. After rule explanation + gameplay we ended a little after 10:40pm (Trent and his wife had played with Tuscany a few times, I had 4-5 games of Viticulture on my belt, and our new friend had zero experience). A little short of 3 hours!

Nice! So maybe 90-120 minutes once everyone knows what they're doing?

That's the hope :)

It was an extremely busy and stressful week. I did manage to play two games of Lost Cities with my wife, and several games of Race for the Galaxy against the Keldon AI bot.

Sorry to hear that. Is the beginning of this week going any better?

Supporter11 months ago

Much much better. Most of the last week or two I have been working on a lot of legal.  I think I am mostly done with it. Today I have a little bit to do, but nothing that is a big deal.

Two games this week during our weeknight session:

  • Blood Rage: Second time playing this one. I got a decent combo and thought I was pulling way ahead but then managed to lose by 6 points!  Had a ton of fun but noticed that some players were unable to get going at all and it was less fun for them.  Next game was...
  •  The Quest for El Dorado:  First time playing this one. It was a ton of fun!  I can see why people really like it. Deck building race game.  Great genre mix!
