haha! Nice! I've had this one on my shelf and haven't yet been able to get it to the table.

I definitely recommend working to get it to the table! It really is so sleek in its design!

I really want to. One of these days though, when they make another edition with the art direction that Brass went... oh man. Look out!

Man I would not hold your breath lol. I would be all about it but I would be surprised! Though to be fair Rio Grande seems to be on board with re-skinning their games.

Yeah I agree. But a gamer can dream, right?

Ha! Very true! I did not think it would happen with Castles of Burgundy and it did! (Though not super well.)

Not great but I still think its an improvement over the original. No?

I think so? I have only looked at briefly and it felt quite cluttered!

Definitely looks like someone enjoyed winning! haha

Concordia is a great one! I've only played once and got tromped hard, but I still liked it.

Honestly it’s so fun, it’s hard to get a grasp on how many points you have the first time around but the second play I understood things better and could evaluate the game state better.

Yeah, I'm hoping we play again soon so I can at least have a fighting chance haha

Ha! Same! The crazy thing is she had no idea how scoring worked, even though I did explain it and she still kicked my tail!

She's a natural! My wife generally beats me at games, and many times it's the same thing. Her most-spoken line upon winning is, "Oh! I wasn't even trying!" haha And I'm over here trying to figure out the best strategies to defeat her and she's just waltzing through it like it's no bid deal haha

Ha! Thanks funny, and also frustrating...

Is there a game she just always crushes you at no matter what you do?

Terraforming Mars is one she always crushes me at. And Wingspan. Even when I think I'm doing well in Wingspan she still ends up far ahead of me haha It's good though, because it makes her more likely to play again. And, no, I don't let her win; I do try my best haha

Dang! Those are games that I think can be pretty swingy too so that is impressive that she consistently beats you! I never go easy...

Haha Yeah. She loves Terraforming Mars, so I'm happy she also gets to win at it quite often. Maybe that's why she loves it.........

Winning always helps the wives lol, I think thats why she likes #Azul: Stained Glass of Sintra because she kicks my tail every time.

I love how it looks like she will be reminding of this....

Glad ya'll got a chance to play it together.

She initially scored her cards wrong and it looked like I trounced her but we realized she didn’t score enough and when she saw she beat me...she was standing on the chair lording it over me lol

Haha! That's awesome. Sounds like you guys have fun together!

We definitely do! It is more fun when we can both get into a game as well!

Oh yeah for sure. If I can tell my wife isn't into the game, I kinda stop having fun too.

Supporter8 months ago

Yes, I can definitely relate to that too. And whenever there's a dud, I go back to the drawing board and go through the usual routine of going through runthroughs or old reddit threads.

Lol yes definitely! I also try and ask her if she liked it, how she enjoyed it compared to other games we have played and what she did not like!

Oh for sure!! Could not agree more. I only play a game if I can tell she actually wants to!

Supporter8 months ago

That sounds like something my wife would do.

Supporter8 months ago

The smug look of a winner. That’s great!

She definitely had some smugness...but I’d prefer her caring about the game and rubbing it in than being indifferent!

Supporter8 months ago

Definitely. Well done, sir.
