What should I get?
As you have probably noticed, I won the last GAW here on BGA. Yay.....
I finally decided to get my prize in the form of a GameNerdz gift certificate, now I am trying to decide what to buy with it. But, firstly, I should lay out some information for your consideration.
A week or so ago, I canceled a preorder I had for #Greenland (Third Edition). The more I looked into it, the more I thought that it wasn't for me. That gave me a little over $30 store credit. Add that to the almost $20 I had left over from my last win...... Once I get my gift certificate from GameNerdz I will have $110.50 to spend there. That sounds like a lot of fun to me.....
So, the question is, what should I get?
I am primarily a solo player.
I am most interested in historical themes. But generally speaking am not a huge fan of more modern historical theme. I am also just fine with a good euro, financial, or even a dice chucking themefest.
I am ok with pretty complex games, and I am ok with running a AI.
I really am not interested in "generic fantasy."
I am ok with spending it all on one game, but, I would prefer buying 2 or more games.
If I am buying multiple games, I would consider buying some multiplayer games.
I am ok with doing preorders.
So, in your opinion, what should I get from GameNerdz? I can't promise I will get it, but, I can promise I will at least look into it.

Another option could be 3MBG's #Red Dust Rebellion from GMT, if you're willing to wait for it. Seems like something you'd enjoy.
Edit: that's not available on GameNerdz, doh...

I had actually thought of that, LOL.
I ended up picking up #The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth for part of it, It is on hold there now, while I decide what to add.

All of the COIN games have bots that you can use to fill in the missing players.

They're both outside of GameNerdz, but I have to ask, what's your interest level on games from Mindclash and Chip Theory Games?

If I were to win the $200 gift card there is a decent chance I would pick up #Cloudspire. I am not hugely interested in their CTG's other offerings, at the moment. Though, #Burncycle has piqued my interest.
As far as Mindclash goes. I have high interest in #Anachrony and #Perseverance: Castaway Chronicles. I have moderate interest in #Trickerion. And lower interest in #Cerebria: The Inside World.

is WWII to "modern" historical?
Otherwise you should check out #Pavlov's House?

It is "too" modern, but, that and #Castle Itter have both interested me.

I have heard #Nations is solid, but it looks like it is not available on Game Nerdz. Same with #Nemo's War (Second Edition). The pinacle of solo play right there from I have been hearing. #
I have heard #Black Sonata is interesting, same with #Tales of the Northlands: The Sagas of Noggin the Nog
The problem is that none of these are available on GameNerdz...I am finding it hard to find games that fit your mold there!

Lol I went pretty deep on these. I know he looks at some unique stuff though!

the tales of the Northlands one looks pretty interesting when I looked at it, and I like the artwork

I need to look at Noggin the Nog. I have heard good things about it, but it had slipped my mind.

I'd love to help, but I don't think I've ever played a single player board game in my life before
