Are there Games you love but get Destroyed at?
This is a funny topic for me because there are some classic games that I always say I love around here, but I am just straight up bad at...Here are some examples.
- #Agricola (Revised Edition) - literally have never won a game of this. online, in person, you name it and I have lost. BUT I KEEP COMING BACK
- #Kingdomino - I love this game, so simple and straight up. My wife anihilates me every time we play whether it is 1 vs 1 or in a group. She always clobbers me even when I change strategy! It is addicting though!
- #Concordia - This game. I can think I am doing so good but get to scoring and get crushed, but I love the quick turns, the decision space and the complexity of it! I have won I think twice out of 15 or so plays...I am bad.
What are some games that you love but suck at? Is there one person that you just cannot beat?

You know, even though I'm starting to get really good at #Clans of Caledonia solo I've never won multiplayer. In fact I think I've only finished in 2nd place once, and I'm usually in a distant third... but man I love that game. Hopefully my solo games have given me an idea on how to win multiplayer the next time it hits the table.

I still have to try this one out. Got it on my wishlist for Secret Santa so it could happen!

Sometimes practice makes your performance worse lol. I think of golf, the more I practice and over think the more I suck at it lol

I love #On Mars - but get destroyed almost everytime. #Azul and #Azul: Summer Pavilion are really fun, but everyone seems to have a better grasp of it than me!!!

I can feel that recently with Azul. I always end up taking way more tiles than anyone would ever need. :-/

On Mars is reaalllly crunchy so I can see how that would be hard to do well at! Azul is also not the most clear strategically!

This is a hard question to answer because i feel like everyone in our group wins a fairly even amount of everygame we play! unless it is alexander playing Terraforming mars...

I feel like Alexander has been tamed a little on TM! He has not been quite as dominant! But I tend to agree, aside from Agricola we have a good win dispersal.

Yes...yes he does. He regularly hits like 40+ points. I cant even crack 30...

Honestly, its probably easier in person because he has less time to think through a turn, but its still rough lol.

Might want to start taking some of your teaching advice out of the rules explanation.. lol. Or just listen to yourself

Yeah...that's the thing, I do a decent job of teaching the rules and take a stab at simple strategy, but it seems luck in this game doesn't favor me. And my son outright plays offensively, which is supported by the game but isn't my playstyle. Oh well, it's a fun game and I highly recommend it!

I think playing aggressive is usually a good strategy in 2p only competitive games so I could see how that would be ideal with that game. Of course you could always just tell your son you let him win haha

#Scythe ... I'm actually good at the game, but one of my friends is super smart and really good at strategic games and anhialites me and everyone else that plays. I usually come in second place which I don't mind, but sometimes it's almost annoying to see that my friend ends the game with scores that I didn't think were humanly possible to achieve in Scythe.

That's crazy. You clearly gotta start giving them a handicap haha

HAhaha I have a friend who does the same thing in Agricola. His brain just works in ways that just do not compute for me! I beat him at other stuff but Agricola...another level.

yeah lol. There's always that one game that you have no chance of ever winnning

i have only ever played Agricola with that friend too so I have never won in 2 years lol.

I've played this three times and come last each time. I want to like it but I am just so bad, and it's SO harsh when you're struggling, because the only actions you can take help every other player at the table, so you're just exacerbating the situation.
