Just watched it. It looks very interesting. I do continue to wonder how long one could be happy with just the base box though?

Base box has tons of content

Yeah, 6 characters, 10 odd enemy groups, a full campaign and skirmish mode

If I were to buy it, and only play it solo.... Do you have any wild idea what kind of hour count I would be looking at too play the campaign?

How satisfying is the skirmish mode?

Skirmish mode is really fun (although a couple of the skirmish set ups that come only in the base game aren't great).  I do have a few expansions.  I actually play the Skirmish Mode most frequently with a buddy over Skype.  But I do have most of my experience with the campaign and play at the Empire (which I really enjoy).

That is very helpful. Thanks.

I’ve never played skirmish mode actually.

The best way to play this game is as a traditional dungeon crawler where one person controls the Imperial forces and the other players control a Rebel hero.

When playing solo you have a couple of options. First and best choice is to use the app. Second option is to control all sides by yourself. Final option is to use a print and play expansion called RAIV. I’m about halfway done writing a real in-depth review of my campaign using RAIV.

So the app campaign for the base game is fun but it’s not very long. It’s about 5-6 detailed and incredibly thematic missions.

IF you want to take the time to print out the RAIV cards then you can play the branching campaigns from the core set.

I am not good at estimating the time you’ll get from the game. The core set has a decent selection of heroes and the unique combinations make for interesting replay content.

Well. It is still on my list as a "maybe someday" game.

I assume you will post your review here?

This is the only place I’ve ever posted anything. So yup, it’ll be here.

Today's recap is the Star Wars dungeon crawler, Imperial Assault. A lot to love in this one as it's a classic dungeon crawler, but star wars

Why would you post this? Do you hate my wallet, or just its contents? You must know I'm anxious to buy this the next chance I get haha :)
