If you could only keep one game...
Not sure if anyone has asked this before...but if you could only ever have one board game what would it be? *Expansions are allowed!*
Probably the hardest non-important question I have ever asked myself...You may have to dig deep into your soul for this one.

I would probably go with #Carcassonne. I mainly play with family, and my family likes it. It is also one of my favorites. Simple to learn and play, but every game is a little different. At least for me, it never gets old, even though I have probably played it more than any other game.

I would probably say #7 Wonders with all available expansions. Just a game that never gets old, works with variety of player counts and mixing and matching expansions would really help replayability!

Okay, I've stewed on this for 2 days now but still no answer. Depending on how my first play with my wife goes, #Pax Pamir (Second Edition) could be it.

So good! the replayability and variablity of the game certainly helps make this a great choice. I applaud you.

WOW! What a change of heart! I feel like I remember you saying you were not impressed at all with the game a while back!

If I didn't have so many games I need to get to, I'd love to whip it out this weekend :)

I've found I've been able to finish a solo game in an hour!! That's perfect for nap time 😬

For me it would have to be #Betrayal at House on the Hill. I've played this one for the longest amount of time without getting tired of it. I know a lot of the scenarios are flawed and everything but I love it. It's not too heavy for most people, and each game plays out so differently. The groups I've played it with make it way more fun too because we all form a new narative around each game as we're playing, even in a repeat scenario.

You ever have any interest in the Legacy version? My friend unfortunately picked it up just as covid hit so we haven't had a chance to play yet.

Like I said... one of the hardest non-life-changing questions I have ever wrestled with...
I think for me I would keep #Agricola. My reasoning in making this my choice is that it is a really accesible heavy-ish game. I have taught this to a ton of college students and they always walk away loving the game. Not to mention you can jam between the "family" version or the normal version. such a solid game.
If for some reason somebody threw my copy of Agricola in the fire, forcing me to choose a different game I would then probably pick #The Quacks of Quedlinburg.
Yes I just weasled out of my own rule.
