Haha, that's kind of fun. Great if you need to roll dice and keep quiet, or if you're constantly rolling dice of the table or something lol.

Is it better? Personally, I love rolling dice. I think this lends itself to card counting and probability deduction than full-on luck (although there's still obviously a lot of that). I am reminded of #Above and Below, with the encounter deck, you roll a die and whatever it shows, that's the encounter you do. This could be similar in nature for other of games. Which others, you ask? No idea. But I see the potential!
It shouldn't lend itself to card counting if you're shuffling every time, which you should do.
