What Other IP's need to be made into a game?

What IP's need to be made into a game if they haven't. OR need a better one for the IP.

I was thinking of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy today. I think it could be sort of cool to have a Sci-fi ish game in that universe.

This could be really fun! I dig it

Wanted to add more haha

You know, with so many Disney movies getting reboots and seeing moderate success due to nostalgia factor, I wonder which Disney movies might do well as a board game?

Also, I think there's potential in Tim Burton's movies or other movies that fall in the boundary of family but a bit too dark for kids kind of genre. For example, Coraline (looks like they're going to release a game based on this, but looking at the game, I wish they would've taken an approach similar to what they've done with Wonderland's War)

That would make sense. I wonder why no one has. Maybe those IPs are too expensive? Either that, or they aren’t allowing hobby style games to be made for those... just mass market ones

  • Solo Leveling - Another top notch Korean webtoon that is based off of the novel. It presents a world in which "hunters" are assigned the task of eliminating monsters inside the "gates" that connect the real world to the monster world. The twist is that while all hunters in the world are born into a certain rank, the E-ranked main character soon discovers that he is the sole person in the world with the ability to level up. (If anything, read up to chapter 10 and let me know your first impressions!)

it would be great if we could get a World wide game like GTA, where you can explore every country like USA, Canada, France, Spain, Morocco and like in these country the npc would speak the local languages of people living there like the people of Morocco would speak all the languages of Morocco, and in the USA you would have a dialect for every region...that would be awesome.

This sounds like an amazing game!

Hey guys!

Another top-notch Korean webtoon that is based off. So I started reading manhwa Solo Leveling (Only I Level Up) and the story really pleased me. The game system in which the protagonist is inserted is very interesting and I could not find any game that offered a similar experience.

So I wanted to see with our dear modders who would be willing to make a mod with the same functions provided in history. And of course how much that would cost!

Here's a link, for those who don't know: https://sololeveling.in/

Thank you

I'd really love to see a game in the Babylon 5 universe. The politics and negotiations the show had, so much potential there.

Hmm... this is just going to be me sharing a few of my favorite reads/watches so be aware that I'm completely ignoring marketability and only thinking of... myself:

  • Tower of God - One of the most popular Korean webtoons that started in 2010. Here's a very short description: "What do you desire? Money and wealth? Honor and pride? Authority and power? Revenge? Or something that transcends them all? Whatever you desire—it's here." Note that the art has improved since the beginning. Some of the jokes do get lost a bit through the English translation, but it does a pretty good job.
  • Solo Leveling - Another top notch Korean webtoon that is based off of the light novel. It presents a world in which "hunters" are assigned the task of eliminating monsters inside the "gates" that connect the real world to the monster world. The twist is that while all hunters in the world are born into a certain rank, the E-ranked main character soon discovers that he is the sole person in the world with the ability to level up. • My Hero Academia - Japanese manga/anime. Story about a boy born without superpowers (called Quirks) in a world where they have become commonplace, but who still dreams of becoming a hero himself.
  • A Studio Ghibli film also introduces some very odd but deep worlds - Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, etc.
  • Your Name - Maybe a game for couples? Animated films may not be your thing but I'd still highly recommend this for couples who enjoy romance/drama with a bit of fantasy element to it and quite a bit of humor!
  • I'm always pretty fascinated by dystopian worlds, and I feel like they could make for an interesting game - I didn't like all of these, but here are some examples: Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Fahrenheit 451, Minority Report
  • Edit: Holes - a lot of the books I read during elementary and early middle school years left a big impression on me because they were the first "long" English books I read after learning the language (my family moved from Korea and came to the U.S. when I was in third grade)

I would be interested in the My Hero Academia game, could be a cool skirmish game!

These would be very interesting in game form!

More Star Wars games please!

On a slightly more serious note there is a distinct lack of Roman themed games. While not technically an “IP”, Roman history is incredibly fascinating and there are very few games based in this profoundly influential time in history.

Supporter13 months ago

Always more star wars lol

I was so close to saying Star Wars as well haha

I think there will forever be Star Wars games produced lol

Supporter13 months ago

There needs to be more. More star wars games.

Hahaha got a one track mind!

Supporter13 months ago

Well, Star Wars is pretty much the best IP ever.

But you’ll notice I did also suggest more Roman history games.

A nice balance, Star Wars and Romans. Such a well-rounded bloke :)

Supporter13 months ago

Yup, that’s me!

Also, I could get a bang out of a humorous take on Tintin.

YES!100% agree

I think an Avatar (of Airbender fame) would be great. I know they have Legend of Korra: Pro-Bending Arena, which I gave and love, but an adventure-style game would be sweeeet.

Supporter13 months ago

I like the idea of an adventure style game for this!

I really want this to be a thing haha

Supporter13 months ago

Never really got into this IP. Should I?

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a great cartoon. I think it’s American made, but has an anime feel to it. I’d always recommend it. They made a movie (live action) a number of years ago, but it was...not great. Definitely check it out. It gets even better toward the later seasons.
