I found Board Game Atlas by looking for game sites. I started playing board games as a hobby about a year ago. My current favorite games are Carcasonne, Azul, and Small World

Premium User2 months ago

Welcome! I also started gaming about a year ago and was brought in by games like #Azul and #Carcassonne. Are you sure you're not past me? :P

Owner2 months ago

Sweet! Glad we weren't too hard to find lol

Azul's a great one, it was one of the first games I was introduced to also. Are there any games you're really wanting to get recently? #Too Many Bones and #Keyflower are now at the top of my list but I'm starting to think about getting #War Chest to try it out with my wife

We'll be giving away more than $5000 worth of board games throughout this month and December, so you're right on time! :)

Wow that's a lot!

Ahh man I would love to get Baseball Highlights 2045!

Supporter2 months ago

Good luck on the GAW. Of your top 3, I have only played #Root, but that is a solid choice. #Rurik: Dawn of Kiev and #Baseball Highlights: 2045 are both games I have heard a lot about, and really want to try out sometime.

Thanks for the welcome!

1. Found while using BoardGamePrices.com

2. Have been playing games since sitting on my parents' laps as a child helping them play Euchre, but got more into the hobby around 2009-2010.

3. Tough choices there... I'd have to say #Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game, #Invasion From Outer Space: The Martian Game, and #Terraforming Mars, but #Android Board Game gets an honorable mention.

Nice! We're actually working on fully integrating the two websites. We'll be sending out the announcements this week :)

I'd LOVE to do a giveaway solely focusing on out of print games. I'll have to look into how much fortune I'll need for a copy of Battlestar Galactica...

I talked to a guy on a plane one time. He had been in the hobby for a few years, and had picked up #Android Board Game at a garage sale. That was his first hobby game, he said it nearly broke him, but he loved it, it was his GOAT.

Oh wow, I've heard of Android Netrunner, but I didn't know the board game existed!

Welcome to all of you. Glad to have you.

Thanks for the nice welcome!

  1. Was building a tool to display/sort/filter/compare board game collections and needed more than what BGG API offers.
  2. Started playing board games around 20 years ago.  Interestingly, I started playing tabletop rpgs 5 years before that.
  3. #Gloomhaven, #Glory to Rome, #Battlestar Galactica

#Glory To Rome is my second favorite card game of all time. :)

This is a grail game of mine.

What is your favorite card game of all time?

Welcome new users! There are quite a few of you!

  1. I was looking for a way to keep track of what games I own.
  2. I have been in the hobby for almost 3 years.
  3. #Terraforming Mars, #Splendor, #Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization

Owner2 months ago

Nice, glad to have you here! Does that mean that you haven't used BGG to keep track of your collection before?

I had a lot of fun (and frustration) trying to beat the challenges against the AI's in the app for Through the Ages. Soooo tough...

Correct, I have not and I hear you there. I love the game and will definitely be looking to get the app.

Welcome! Great favorite games!

Welcome! #Terraforming Mars is one of my favorites too.

The lists here are pretty useful. Especially the wishlist, because you can set price alerts for an entire list (e.g. alert if any game drops 40% off of MSRP). Plus you can create whatever lists you want. Welcome! :)

Thanks! I will definitely give it a shot.

Great to be here.

1. 3 Minute Boardgames on Youtube. I enjoy the quick, brief review that gives enough of a taste that lets me know if something is worth digging deeper into.

2. I have been in the hobby since... 2006 when my dad got me Reiner Knizia's Lord of the Rings when traveling to my older brother's college football game. I don't remember where we were or why we stopped near the store we did, but it started a chain of events and a ton of games on my shelf.

3. In no particular order... Star Wars: Imperial Assault, Street Masters, does Dungeons and Dragons count? That's all my friends want to do since we started a campaign almost two years ago. Otherwise, probably have to go with Love Letter! Always one that can get onto the table and easy to gift if others love it after playing for the first time since it's nice and cheap!

Great to have you! 3 Minute Boardgames gives I think a perfect enough amount of time to gauge your interest in a game. What was the last game you watched a video for?
