How akin to Root is this game?  Love the art :)

Here's the description of SPQF: "SPQF is a deck-building game about growing your ancient civilization from humble origins to greatness. It plays with 2-4 players in about 30 minutes. Deck management is distilled to a single choice where you choose what kind of civilization you shall be. One led by the military? Perhaps one with a strong agricultural foundation? As your civilization grows, your vision will be more difficult to manage, others will steal your ideas, and trade will flourish."

I'd say that it probably bears little resemblance but I'm sure the retheme will be reminiscent of Root at least graphically due to Kyle's involvement. The retheme presents the game as kids building a fort :)

I personally love it because it's a deck building game with an approachable theme to try out with my wife.

He is so good.

Agreed! I'm always impressed by artists who start with ink without much sketching.

How do you make art?

What mediums do you work in?

I've mostly just used pencil/color pencil all throughout until I adopted working digitally about two years ago. I haven't practiced for a long time due to having two jobs at the moment but I will be continuing to teach myself to be proficient with digital drawing.

Gotcha. Hope you find the time you want to practice.
