The Role Player | Board Gamer Stereotypes

Tabletop roleplaying games is one thing, but roleplaying during board games is another, and sometimes you get a player who wants to constantly roleplay during board game nights! It's the norm to roleplay during a game of Dungeons and Dragons, but board games might be more centered around strategy and victory points, which causes some bizarre turns to come from the role player. To them, it's all about what their faction would've done in accordance to lore and flavor, never to optimize resource management abilities or devise a winning move. Who cares about gaming the rules, or even fully comprehending the rulebook for that matter, just make sure the gameplay tells a good story! And of course, all miniatures from board games will be used in a DnD campaign at some point in the future that the role-player will graciously DM.
