I was contemplating my childhood this morning and thinking about some of things I used to do as a kid.
Unsurprisingly many of those included playing board games. Of course of the mass market variety, but still. Playing Battleship with Dad, Sorry or Uno with my family, Cribbage, and even Monopoly or Clue.
If you had to pick one mass market game to play today, which one would you go with? What one was your favorite growing up?

Ok....
I also like #Catch Phrase! and #Risk and some versions of Trivial Pursuit.

Honestly I loved Monopoly. I still enjoy it when I play it, too (please don't kick me out haha). Of course, I don't want to play it alllll the time, but once every few years is fine. :) As for favorite, though, I'd say Risk was my #1. Loved it, and I still love those types of games.

I have a soft spot for #boggle. My mom adores this game and she is good at it...so when I beat her it is an accomplishment!

It is really fun! Especially #Big Boggle and there is super big boggle too which mixes it up!

I guess I'd have to say #Dutch Blitz.
Even better if you have a double deck and play with a large group of people. Great for chaotic fun.

Oh man, my wife loves this one, but I absolutely hate it. It is one of our few points of friction. I really don't enjoy real time games, but I dislike this one more than most. I'm glad some like it....

Pictionary always brought a ton of laughs, so it'd probably be that one. My family played lots of Uno on vacations, but I can't say I ever loved that one. I also remember playing #Mille Bornes nonstop with my sister for like a month and then never playing again, haha.

We played Mille Bornes a lot growing up. We recently came across a copy at a thrift store and, despite the box being pretty torn, doesn't look like it was ever used. Obviously we bought it and played it multiple times, since my wife grew up with it as well.

I always lived #Jungle Speed growing up, it is basically more complex spoons (which I also loved) and I would still be up for it if someone pulled it out now. Lots of laughs and tension with no real stakes to anything: we rarely played to getting a 'winner', if you emptied your stack of cards (how you 'won') you just took a bunch off someone who had loads and kept going.

My thumb is still a little tight after playing this game 4 years ago....it can get wild!

Every time, like I'm gonna let someone else have the idol...not that I'm competitive or anything
If I had to pick a favorite mass market game today I would definitely say #UNO Card Game. Simple enough that a 3 year old can play but engaging enough to entertain adults for a few hands. It just works. A minimal amount of strategy can be used but you are mostly dependent on the luck of the draw.

My three-year-old can play Uno--and does. My kids love it, and their brother-in-law plays alllll the time so there's always a time to play haha

Haha, I have logged many hours with Uno. Did you guys play it the "draw until you get a card you can play" way, or the right way? Lol

For me, I think of several titles.
I don't know if Bezzerwezzer is mass market or not, but, I really like it.
I like the #The Farming Game. It isn't a very good game, but I have a lot of background with it, which makes it fun.
