Ticket to Ride how many have you played?

I just got Ticket to Ride map pack 2 with the India and Switzerland boards. I think after I get Heart of Africa I'm going to have to start importing the UK reprints of any of the other games. Each one has enough changes to add a bit of variety and keep it fresh bringing one of them out on game nights. I have heard the India map raises the competition level between players more that the other games.  Have you played beyond any of the base games? Which is your favorite?

I actually haven’t played ticket to ride yet... what’s the big draw for you? I keep hearing it pitched as a set collection game which hasn’t convinced me to play yet.

While it wasn't perfect I still think Table Top is one of the best examples to show how enjoyable a game can be.

Its easy to teach and fun to play. There's a bit of competitive game play to it as well since your easy routes are going to overlap usually and this increases with the number of players. Each of the other maps add some complexity to change up the game as well sometimes making it more difficult or pit you more against the other players to complete your routes. It's also a lighter game so there can be a lot of conversation going on without it interrupting the game play.

Ticket to ride is absolutely fun :) And it is fun for all the players untill the end because you can keep yourself busy by building your lines even though you re not winning.

The best version in my opinion is Europe since it has the tunnels and also the locomotives so there is some luck added to the game. But the USA version is the best to start with.

You can play it easily with people who are not board game fanatics and they gonna have fun, they might even win :)I am waiting for a reasonable price on the Asia pack to try out the team version and want to get the old western map from France pack :)

The Switzerland board also has tunnels and I will be trying it out tomorrow. I want to get the Asia and the UK board but those will have to be imported it looks like since they haven't been being reprinted state side that I have seen. France is a blast to play and I think offers up the most strategy. Old West being able to support 6 players has been getting a lot of time with my groups. It's a bit interesting with people going after Alvin and also the one where people are most likely to get their routes cut off.

I have played the base and europe. Now all I play is the tenth anniversary because it is so bling-a-licious

I would love to get my hands on that one but 1910 is getting us by.

I wish the tenth anniversary had a 1910 expansion to match it.

10th Anniversary already includes the 35 destination cards from 1910 and the 4 from mystery train so you are good to go.
