The Quacks of Quedlinburg with the upgraded geek bits
Welcome to... - my wife and I both like this game and short games are always a plus

You might want to ask @trentellingsen for his advice on Welcome to... Before you ask for it. LOL

I'd still recommend it ;)
Well, that's a glowing testimony.

Maybe Trent will gift him his copy?

thinking about the new Castles of Burgundy ( I like the updated art better than the original one but have never played it)
Tiny Townsthinking about Everdell and Terraforming Mars too
Games I’ll ask for:
Games I’ll buy for the family:
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle
Games I might buy for myself:
Champions of Midgard
Tiny Epic Galaxies
Hogwarts Battle is fun! Although tricky for 4P. We haven't gotten past year three yet. I heard it's easier with less players.
So you finally decided. Have fun with it.
Yup! I’m actually going to just ask for an Amazon gift card so it’s totally possible that I could change my mind.

Expansion: The Quacks of Quedlinburg: The Herb Witches
Games: Le Havre, PARKS
I just got Brass Birmingham last night too so I do not have a crazy long list right now :)
Cool list! I haven’t played Quacks yet but it’s one I’m really interested in trying.
Honestly, I knew I was going to enjoy the game, but I did not think I would like it as much as I do, OR have my family like it as much as they do. It really has been a huge hit!
Seems like a real crowd pleaser.
Are you the one that got the delux edition?
I am curious what you think of it when you play it.
I did get the deluxe! I punched it last night, I am hopefully going to get a play in here pretty soon. I am planning on doing a write up of my experience after the fact. I will say the production is pretty spectacular with the iron clays and the linen cards.
Cool. I'm a little jealous, and very much looking forward to your write up.

Jaipur is great! And even though it's marketed for 2P, it plays great at 3P too with some tweaks in the rules (play till 4 piles of tokens are gone, deal 4 cards out to the board instead of 5).
Is that an official variant? Or a fan made variant? I've never heard of anyone playing it at more than two!
Fan made! I thought of it and tried it when I had 3P at the table and then saw someone had already posted the same thing on BoardGameGeek. It plays well with 3P just lower point counts. I deal out four cards to start with too, 4, 4, 4.
Does it feel similar, worse, better, or worse than the original?
Exactly the same, just lower point counts at the end of the game. I like 3P just as well as 2P. It's nice to have the option when you have 3P and want a light game.
I was wondering that as well.
I think Pantheon for Duel seems cool. There are just so many games!
That one is definitely one I'll buy for myself if I don't get it from someone else lol. I really like the game and apparently the expansion elevates it even higher.

I want the Power Up expansion for King of Tokyo as well. It really adds something special to the game.
Oh have you played with it? I think the game is quite fun as is, but the unique abilities seem like they would push it from "fun" to "really fun" in my mind
Yeah, I've played with it a few times at a convention. I does ratchet things from "fun" to "really fun." It's a great way to add variety to the game and make it a bit more strategic (emphasis on "a bit"). That's something my wife and I have talked about getting.
