If you were to design a game about some aspect of your life, what would it end up looking like? What mechanics and themes would represent you best?

This is crazy, but I could see a re-theme or re-implementation of #Concordia where, instead of expanding an empire and place houses in cities, you're building a collection of board games. Factors affecting scoring would be who you're playing them with (e.g. spouse/SO, hardcore gamer friends, family, kids, solo, etc), how often you're able to play them, how much people enjoy them. Provinces in Concordia could be analogous to different genres of games, or maybe those would be analogous to the different play groups mentioned above. I haven't thought it through, haha. I don't think it could work as a straight re-theme, but it could be similar.

I'm into it, what would you use for the cards? Types of gamer? Or maybe FLGSs, kickstarter, publisher etc.? Or Designer, artist, editor, distributor etc?
Forgot to reply here. Hmm I'm not sure. If it was a 1 to 1 re-theme, the cards would have to represent some sort of actions, like acquiring games, playing games, etc. I guess the card actions could be different locations? Locations could be things like FLGS, conventions, home, popular game Youtubers, etc. And the different gods on the Concordia cards could be different gaming groups/partners?

Some weird balance between making cash working for an insurance company while trying to make a name in music? :p

Haha, I can see that actually being a interesting concept for a game, where you are having to balance the 'moeny making engine' that would thematically be you day job with being able to commit time to trying to go to shows and meet record label execs etc.
What kind of music do you create/ is it available to have a listen to?
Yeah exactly what I would imagine :D
Nothing pro or anything but also 2 very different things:
Nice, I will check them out

Well I've got my side job - market gardening - and I've got a design in the works for that. My real job in, over-simplified terms, involves looking at dirty grocery store floors and toilets....I don't want to play that game.
Haha, I sure there is a humorous way that that could be presented, as long as it was suitably cartoonish!
And nice, what kind of a game is it? or is it all still all 'hush hush'?
I'm not great at describing mechanics. But I wanted it to be an medium-light economic sim that uses ideas from the old Sim Farm computer game.

This game would be incredibly boring but somehow immensely stressful at the same time.
Ha, hopefully that doesn't represent your whole life (I am guessing work related)
No, not my whole life. But definitely most of it.
Sorry to hear that, feel for you! Hopefully you have someone to talk to but if you ever need a stranger's ear to vent in the direction of, you let me know.
We talk about board games here. Games like Codenames, Catan, Root, and all your favorites. Posts can link directly to games and everyone is welcome to join the discussion.
