What did you play this week?

We had a mini convention on campus. I ran:
I found even more appreciation for Palaces this week. The random scoring cards really change the landscape of the game. I felt this play was hugely different from my last one.
I also got my first game of Wingspan. It was a bit of a frustrating experience. The person teaching it was just a bit to smug the entire game with how well he was doing. It made it less fun. Getting bird cards was difficult and I didn't have an engine available that would let me get more. It made me realize the initial hand draw is super critical in this game.
Despite some of my frustration, I am intrigued by the game and would like to play it again. The production value is really high on it, it is beautiful. I'm still trying to figure out if I want it in my collection or not. I am leaning towards no, but want to try a game or two more to decide.

I didn't play anything with Easter and overlapping spring breaks it was all about being outside and making sure everything in the garden survived the heat change.

Played Skull with a couple friends. It was a pleasant surprise to play a bluffing game that I actually enjoyed. And my 9 month old son did pretty well on his own so that's always a plus :)
