I enjoy the FFG games I own and look forward to more excellent content for these games. I hope this layoff does not adversely affect future content.

Unfortunately, it's not just FFG. All of Asmodee is affected. I expect more news will come out soon.
Yes. I'm really curious what the fallout will be.

This is sad news! I’m saddened to hear about this. Hopefully the people that are left are still able to make great games!
Good luck to everyone impacted by this!

Standard FFG is a local company to me and that's always a bad feeling. It seems the main hit is from FFG Interactive which I believe is in the Madison, WI area. I guess this is a focus on what works and cut what doesn't. Still, I always thought FFGI made the apps for things like Journeys in Middle Earth and Mansion of Madness. Maybe I'm totally wrong though.
I thought so too. I am curious what will happen to the apps for the games that FFG put out that need apps.
FFGI that got shut down only made the LOTR: Card Game video game version. The other board game apps that goes with a physical board should be unchanged.
Glad to hear that.
Yeah this is big news. Bummer to all those hardworking people.

I've heard rumblings that Asmodee is up for sale, so this may be a move to trim some of the fat. It's a real shame that the whole interactive program will be shut down. I wonder if they plan on rolling those resources into their other digital platforms.

That's too bad. I really like FFG; they put out some good stuff. Too bad for those let go as well. That's never fun.
U/Benjamink. Say goodbye to IA. That is a joke. I don't know what is going on.
IA is already done. They view it as a complete game.
True story. I wish they would at least release an app campaign for Heart of the Empire.
Why must you torment me like this? haha
Maybe they are diverting funds into Corey's new studio.
I'm all honesty, this announcement does worry me a little bit. But mostly I see it as a opportunity for others.
Yeah, these things can be a double-edged knife.
What’s Corey’s studio called?
Have they announced anything that they are working on yet?
I don't know that they have.
You can here Corey talk about it more here.

That's a big deal
Yes it is. I wonder if it is a feather in the wind.
We talk about board games here. Games like Codenames, Catan, Root, and all your favorites. Posts can link directly to games and everyone is welcome to join the discussion.
