Just like it says on the tin. What's a game that everyone seems to like but you don't? Why? Is it because you aren't very good at it? Or maybe you don't like the theme? Or maybe you don't like a certain rule or mechanism?
Let me know and let's discuss!

Ya honestly the theme props a very below mediocre game up barely. It's very low on my list of games I would choose to play...

You and I are in the same boat. I have one member of our group that loves it. So we play every Halloween almost (before Covid anyways). I play it because he likes it but it does nothing for me.
Our last game we failed on the first task so we spent the rest of the game hunting the traitor. A bunch of people got kicked out and we all died. (We rarely win.)
There was no traitor. Someone just buggered up. Ugh. Just had enough of it.

OOF, That just pushed me into not liking it even more. I think a social deduction game should be succinct and DoW is the opposite of that lol.

Another one is #Onitama, a lot of the people in my group love this one too. I see the beauty in it but chess style games are not jam. They feel like I am in a constant tug of war with not much progress until someone makes a mistake.

Haha, I bought this one to find that my SO absolutely hates playing it because of the chess feel of it. I totally see the perspective of not wanting to play it when it is just looking for a mistake to be made to win though.

Lolol I did the same with Melanie and she hated the chess feel too! Then I started to not like it very much as well...

Oh I loved everything about the production for the game! I wanted to love it for that reason alone lol

If I am playing a lunch game I would rather have it be Star Realms or Patchwork! But I understand the love for Onitama but it is not my game!

We did the chess thing back in middle school and I played pretty regularly until college. I probably wouldn't bring Onitama for lunch, prefer something small that would fit in a jacket pocket (Silver & Gold, High Society, The Mind, are options that come to mind).
Makes me miss being in an office having lunch with co-workers. Thanks COVID :(

Tell me about it, except all my coworkers are too cool for board games. Though I did host a virtual game of Wavelength today actually and THREE of them bought the game today lol

That's pretty awesome. I have a couple of coworkers who are also into games so I could usually get a game played once a week or so during lunch. I did some virtual Wits and Wagers w/o the betting and that went over well.

Nice! That sounds fun. My coworkers like to talk too much to just play a game lol

#Agricola (Revised Edition) - I played it once and felt like my hands were tied behind my back while trying to stay afloat while drifting downstream. I did not enjoy the feeling and have no interest in trying it again.
#Liars Dice (30th Anniversary Edition) - I don't like pure bluffing games in general, but this one really bores me to tears. If I just play the mathematical odds I either win or come in second. At this point I would rather sit this game out than ever play it again.
#Catan - I don't like the trading in this game. I suspect I would enjoy this more if the trading was a set ratio, but the open negotiations of trading X sheep for Y wood really gets old for me.
#7 Wonders - I just find this one very dry. The game is fine but the theme doesn't draw me in at all.
I can definitely see that with#Agricola (Revised Edition). I too don't think that it is a super fun game. I much prefer#A Feast For Odin.
I don't mind#Catan but many have moved on and grown past that game.
I quite enjoy#7 Wonders Duel but haven't had the chance to play the base game yet.

#Dominion: Second Edition - I have a couple of friends who love this game. I think its just....kinda bland. Maybe its casue it wasn't my first deck builder and I came to expect my deck builders to do something else along with the deck building but it just isn't a game I enjoy.
I'm not sure if #Munchkin qualifies as a game everyone enjoys, but I will never, EVER play that game again. What a dumpster fire of a game.

I liked #Munchkin the first time I played it. But by the third game I realized it played out the same each time and the winner was usually someone who drew the "gain a level" card.

#War of the Ring jumps out. To be honest I actually like the game to some degree and feel the theme is well integrated into the game and having seen the expansion pieces I like them as well. That being said the game style is not popular among my family and it would never see play and so I ended up trading it away.
#Catan is certainly one that I hear folks love and I just don't find it terribly appealing. I think the robber mechanism is annoying and the overall gameplay sort of hits me as 'meh'.

#War of the Ring: Second Edition is one of my favorite games. I was able to convince my brother to buy it so I get to play it with him once or twice a year.
Interesting. #War of the Ring: Second Edition ...
mostly because of lack of group fit more than actual gameplay?
#Catan has its place and it can be fun to play with family. I would never bring it to my game group.

I've played #Catan once and have no desire to ever play again. I recognize its importance for the hobby but its not for me.

I feel like #Star Wars: Outer Rim gets a lot of love, and in fairness I have only played it once but I really felt like while it was a fairly enjoyable puzzle the theme and the mechanics didn't really match all too well: I never felt like I was a bounty hunter or a smuggler on the edge of the galaxy. Maybe I expecteded too much from it and had it not been 'Star Wars' would have enjoyed it more.

I mention this often but #Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game really just does not hit for me. I have no desire to play it again ever but my friends love it!
