What are your favorite non-messy snacks for game night?

I don't normally care what food people eat around my games, but some people have a bit more of an issue. I don't expect to eat things like pizza, wings, or cheese puffs, but I do like a mid-game snack sometimes.

Pretzels, popcorn, and Cheez-its are all pretty good options for non-messy snacks. What are your favorites?

I feel like a bit of a prude when I do this. But cheese puffs eaten with a fork work well.

I've seen a few posts on Twitter of people using chop sticks to eat them as well.

Supporter16 months ago

That would work

I don't know if it counts as snacks but we always have beer, wine, or whiskey.

We did Wine and Cheese with Viticulture to make the whole themed night that was awesome.  Although we often eat before we start playing a game because my group tends to hang for about an hour before we get started.

Having said that, really anything that isn't going to leave stuff on your fingers.  So nothing like Cheetos or Doritos, and nothing too greasy.  Thankfully my group are all responsible adults so worse case scenario they clean their hands before they need to handle any of the components.

Haha I like the theming for viticulture!

I currently haven’t tried getting a game themed snack yet, but that’s a great idea!

I liked it when Trent had cheese slices, not the square ones but the rectangular ones that are a little thicker too. No grease/mess potential so they were easy to enjoy while playing.

Cheese plates are a great idea, a nice variety of non-messy snacks.

Red Vines are popular and fairly mess free unless it's hot out, when they get slightly melty.

I didn’t even think of those!

These would be nice because they aren’t sticky like actually kettle corn!!

Carrots, apple slices, guava etc.... Work well. I like some sort of chip the best.

A nice fruit and veggie tray would be a great change of pace. Much healthier than the traditional carb and salt loaded snacks.

Those all sound too healthy. Guess I’m brining my own snacks to your game night!

Hahaha bro my thoughts too! But hey he will outlive us... so more games for him

He must be hoping we will all list him in our Wills. “My board game collection goes to Chris “Marshwiggle”. May he enjoy them with his carrot sticks and celery juice”.
