Playing with my son

Supporter

My son has been begging to play a "big game with daddy" all morning long. So, we are playing make believe using components from Agricola.

He was begging to do it again today, but, unfortunately, I couldn't make time for it.

Lol that's awesome! These days my 18 month old son keeps handing us tree branches whenever we're outside. He wants to help collect wood for our fireplace (he just says "fire" in Korean and hands them). Too cute.

Awwww.... That is super cute. I'm so so glad that it sounds like you are passing Korean on to him.

Yup! We're talking to him 99% in Korean except for a few English words here and there. My wife taught him to say "wreath"  a month ago and every now and then he reminds us where all of them are in the living room haha

That is such a gift. I grew up speaking a German dialect as my first language. And I feel like that really made it easier for me to learn Spanish when I needed to. But I've been surprised how hard that is to pass on to my son.

This is great Chris. I’m sure he will treasure those memories forever.

I will even if he doesn't.

Haha so fun! FYI I think there is more than one type of animal in that pasture tho... haha

The rules he doesn't know won't hurt him.

Hahaha but seriously I can’t wait for my kids to be old enough for that!

Supporter11 months ago

It is fun, and sometimes just a tiny bit frustrating....

I bet... my biggest fear would be a spilt drink or torn card...

He knows some basic sanitary rules related to board games. I do try to make sure to keep that sort of stuff far away when we are playing together. Our, when he is playing by himself.

Haha good idea. Oh definitely, by themself is terrifying haha

Just too clarify. He has his own personal games, memory, Go fish, spot it, a chess set he begged for at a garage sale, etc... When he is playing with those games I remind him to be careful and not have food or drink. He does not play with my games by himself.

Haha I was like man that’s a lot of trust!

Supporter11 months ago

I am afraid I don't have that much trust yet.
