1. I have 3 kids and I'm still going to see Rise of Skywalker! It's the only movie I'll see in theaters all year! Well, I guess I saw Frozen 2 with the kids. But that doesn't count.

2. Julius Caesar wasn't even a Roman Emperor!

Lol I didn't even get to answer.

1. Tickets not purchased but I'm 99% certain that we'll be leaving our son with friend or family so that we can watch it. Frozen 2 at some point too

2. I'm going to give a random answer to this one. I really enjoyed the movie Gladiator.

3. I think I answered this one. I took a personality quiz with a group of friends from church once, where it categorizes you to four (?) different animals--otter, golden retriever, lion, beaver. I got golden retriever

4. Surviving a zombie apocalypse? I'd find the closest thing to Bear Grylls, or perhaps some advanced Eagle Scouts in my area. I'm going to need some quick survival 101 lessons if I plan to last for a long time. Zombies are getting way too advanced with every passing year so who knows what they'll be capable of in the near future

1.  Good! I was getting worried about you guys.

2. That’s a great choice! The emperor depicted in that movie is Marcus Aurelius. He lived from 121 to 180 AD and is definitely one of the Top 10 Roman emperors. Chris ranked him in the Top 5 somewhere on the other thread. In all seriousness you should look him up. He was a philosopher in addition to being emperor and many of his thoughts are extremely applicable today. This is my favorite quote from him:

“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts; therefore guard accordingly.” Marcus Aurelius

Of course Marcus’ son Joaquin Phoenix Commodus is one of the Top 10 worst emperors. So you get a two for one deal with that answer!

I never actually expected you guys to answer these questions. Haha! But thanks for playing along.

So, @Skurvy5, I gave my top five Roman emperors. I don't really know what you thought of my list, but I am really curious to see your list.

1.  Augustus without a doubt. Truly set the standard for how an Emperor should run an Empire.

2. Diocletian- reformed an Empire that was on its deathbed and helped it thrive for many more years. The Roman Empire really should have ended in the Third century and Diocletian helped turn it around.

3. Trajan. Expanded the Empire to its greatest extent. Ruled fairly and justly. Helped turn the Empire to pragmatic concerns.

4. Constantine. Truly lasting impact on not just Romans but the world. Founded one of the greatest cities on Earth.

5. Theodosius. The last great Emperor and the last to rule over the untied Empire. Had a profound lasting impact on Christianity.

6. Hadrian. Cemented Rome as a permanent fixture in the world and helped to ensure that it would last for a very long time.

7. Marcus Aurelius.

Interesting list. I can definitely concur, and on some days my list might even look pretty much the same. I think I might value the Roman emperors contribution a little lower than you do perhaps which is probably what kept Constantine and Theodosius off of my list.

It’s so awesome that we can discuss the achievements of such great men so many years after they lived. That’s the part that blows my mind.

Sorry I misstyped, I meant to write that I think I value Roman Emperors contribution to Christianity a little lower than you do. But, yes you are right they still form a amazing large part of western society and culture.

Ah yes. Your comment makes more sense now with that added little bit.

Thanks for the episode! Wingspan is a favorite of mine. I was able to teach my wife fairly easily and she enjoys it .
