I know that board games generally can be described as a luxury. But I'm referring to what games would you describe as the "lamborghinis" of the board game world? Top notch components, gameplay, art etc

Clearly many games from Chip Theory and Awaken Realms fall into this category. I would like to present several more options.
#Pax Pamir (Second Edition)
#Crokinole, if you have a decent board it really is a luxury experience.
Some, not all of Stonemaires offerings. I am thinking most noteably of #Wingspan
Many #Go sets are pretty luxurious. Also, #Shobu.

Had no idea Go was luxurious. Weird

Yes that's true about Chip Theory and Awaken Realms. All the games that are "over produced". Stonemaier games could fall here too.
I'll have to look up Go but Crokinole is another good one to mention. Simple but classy.

Stonemaier are a good example just based on the components alone. Unless you're looking at#Pendulum then that's a big NOPE lol
Pendulum had poor componenets?

Based on what Phil said then yes.
Yeah didn't you see Phil’s review awhile back? They sound pretty terrible
No I actually didnt. Im going to go find it
Yeah it sounded like among other things the sandtimers didn't always work. Kinda crazy for a game from Stonemaier to be bad like that

A nice #Crokinole board for sure. Once I get around to upgrading #Scythe with realistic components, metal coins, and get the mini's painted expect it to be rather luxurious. It's really the only game that I've really wanted to upgrade the components to, and the components weren't bad to begin with. It's just how I feel about the game.
Any "Deluxe" version of a game gets slotted into the Luxury category for me.

I agree with everyone saying Chip Theory games and Stonemaier games. I think of luxury in terms of quality but also that prices will probably never go down lol. Kind of a separate note, but I don't like when games try to pass as luxury by having a lot of miniatures or components in general.

Just unpacked my copy of #Everdell
Nice! did you get the retail or deluxe edition? I have the retail and everything is amazing!
Retail. Need to check; I think it is missing the rats for the solo play :)

I just played this weekend and it was the Kickstarter deluxe edition but I'd say that #Moonrakers fits this description.
the sheer size, set of mini's and epicness of #Star Wars: Rebellion just brings a "wow" to the table.
All the wooden components in that heavy #Agricola is pretty awesome too.
There is something sweet about the tiles in #Azul as well!
Yes! I have Rebellion on my shelf and waiting to get that played!

Brass Birmingham, its expensive for a euro but boy is it worth it
I've considered this mostly based on what I've seen on here. Should throw it on my wishlist in case Santa is nice this year lol
This has been on my wishlist too! You should add it to yours@cbrady748!
I should! I was considering throwing on that and#Mage Knight for my Santa purposes. The exchange closes tonight so I still have time
Well...it could hurt my brain possibly ahaha
When you say luxury, do you mean games with just top not components and gameplay, or games with absurd prices aswell? If we're talking price aswell, then I'd say #Nemesis. That's all I can think of off the top of my head
Btw Nemesis looks amazing!
sure does, though I've lost all hope in playing it
Because of its unholy price
It wasn't my favorite.
