Have any of you ever played a game so much that you "wore out" your copy and had to get a new one?

I came pretty close with #Tyrants of the Underdark. I've played so many games of it that I filled the book of score sheets front and back. I haven't actually bought a new copy, but I am squeezing a third round of scores into that book.

#Dragonmaster: The Ultimate Power Struggle in a Forgotten Land and #Coloretto
card games can go quickly if played a lot.
Sure can! Do you sleeve your cards?

I usually only sleeve cards that ruin the game if they get marked, like the role cards in a social deduction game.
When I replaced #Dragonmaster: The Ultimate Power Struggle in a Forgotten Land though, I sleeved the replacement copy, even though it was used, to prevent further wear.

many standard decks of cards xD but other than that, no
I guess I hadn't thought of that but that's true. We've definitely worn out some favorite decks of cards

worn out a quite a few card games. #Apples to Apples and #Coup and #Slide 5 and #Five Crowns and #Sleeping Queens. We are on our 2nd copy of most of those games. We try to sleeve games like that now. Also spilled various liquids on a few other games

same here, #Coup and some classic trick taking card games.
Card games can go quick. I wish that I thought to sleeve a few of my games that I got.

I'm pretty worn out on #Tammany Hall I'd still play it but I'd never request it again. There just isnt much game there.
Cool. I'll steer clear of that one. Actually what I meant was a game that you've played so much that the game is physically worn out and you need to buy a fresh game.
Oh jeeze how embarrassing. Welp I absolutely just got caught only reading the title of a game and not the whole post.
No I have never worn out a game.
haha no worries! (You should start a forum post about games that everyone's worn out on!)

No, I haven’t worn out a modern board game. I would say #Gloomhaven might be my closest- but each time you start to wear out a class card the character retires and you get all new components!
Nice! How many games of Gloomhaven have you played?

I've killed two #Games Classic Twister mats and a deck of #Candy Land Game cards. Toddlers, man.
Our Candy Land board also won’t survive kid #3.
My kids are hard on games too. We just got them candy land so we’ll see how long it goes

I don't have kids of my own so I'm not sure what my excuse is. I'm just "the friend who owns Candyland" for a couple families.
Twister was my game of choice when I was at boarding school. You can only shove so many bored math nerds on a Twister mat before things start coming apart. I still have a dress made of Twister-print fabric somewhere that someone's mom made me after a whole year of our crazy weekends.

I am getting there with #The Quacks of Quedlinburg, the white chips are getting thrashed...my in-laws really like to shake up that bag...

Sounds like you need the Geek Up set from BGG!
I would love to get those, I just cant justify spending the same amount of money on those than I did the game! maybe a couple years down the line when it is obvious what chip is what I will splurge!!
This is what I thought too :)
Nice! That's a pretty short time too!
It is mostly because my inlaws shake the bag like there is cockroach in there they are tyring to kill!

Yup! One of our most worn out games is #Coloretto. It's time for a new copy.
