Interview Questions for David Turczi?


David Turczi is the designer of #Anachrony and many other fantastic games with awesome solo modes. I reached out to him especially since @Courageous Bob has been mentioning how great #The Defence of Procyon III is!

I will be putting together interview questions in the upcoming days so feel free to throw in your own questions here! I'll try my best to incorporate them into the list. At the very least, it'll give me inspiration for my own questions too.

So my questions are as follows:

Was there ever a mechanic you really wanted to include in a game but ended up having to cut it to streamline the game?

Do you ever factor in what kind of dynamic you hope to create between the individuals around the table (rather than within the game) when designing a game?

When you get feedback during play testing, how often are surprised by what people enjoy most about your games?
