Christmas Games
What games do you play to get into the holiday spirit? I have the Home Alone Game, which is a light, fun bluffing/deduction game.

I try to simply play more games as opposed to any specific games. I don't think I have any Christmas themed games in my collection but playing with a Red/Green #Magic: The Gathering deck seems to hit the spot at times.
I do feel #Rococo: Deluxe Edition has a festive feel to it and works for holiday events. #Everdell has a little bit of a holiday feel due to moving through the seasons from rounds to round. #Scythe has snow or at least feels cold and so lends itself toward being played over the winter months.

Not sure if this is what you meant, but having played some ranked #Scythe Digital Edition, I can confirm that your opponents can indeed be very cold.

We got #Gingerbread House a few weeks ago. I'd say it's a cross between Halloween and Christmas, Halloween because you're witches luring fairy tale creatures into your house, Christmas because...gingerbread!

I originally planned #Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game for Christmas, but I ended up playing that for Thanksgiving. I'm gifting someone another board game for Christmas, so there's a good chance that game will be the one that ends up being played instead.Â

We don't have any holiday themes games, but we do have several (5-7) Christmas and winter themed puzzles from folk artist Eric Dowdle that we enjoy putting together every December. dowdlefolkart.com
#Star Wars: Rebellion. Every Christmas my best friend comes back home and we play this epic amazing game. Except due to Covid it's not happening this year. I am incredibly disappointed.Â

I personally don't have any holiday themed games (gotta change that for sure). Last year at one of my meetups before Christmas, we played #Holiday Fluxx and #Secret Santa. Both I would recommend as light family holiday games!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll be checking the first two out! I've seen a couple of video playthroughs of Diamonds and thought it looked fun. I think people in my group have that one so that's at least something I know I can play

Depending on whether or not you consider DieHard to be a xmas movie, you may want to look at #Die Hard: The Nakatomi Heist Board Game.Â

Don't ban me from the forums for this but...I don't think I've ever seen Die Hard.

So funny story..
On a family vacation once, I discovered while Sarah can ride a bike, she could use more practice. Her little brother (he's like 15) made the point that he never was taught how to ride one. Later on in the day the topic of movies came up and I was like you know I'm not the biggest movie person on the planet. Her brother says something to the effect of I must have had a terrible childhood. I come back with:
At least I can ride a bike!

Yeah usually I'm not that mean to him but he kindaaa deserved that.
To answer your question more directly though, I really just don't watch a whole lot of movies. More so now than I ever did in my life just because of Netflix and stuff like that but yeah just wasn't my thing growing up.

110% Agree with you on both movies. #Gremlins: The Game, #Gremlins: Holiday Havoc Card Game, #Gremlins: Gizmo's Great Escape I have no idea if any of those are any good but I thought I had heard that there was a Gremlins game out there.Â

Huh.... Funny... I don't ever remember thinking about playing a holiday themed game for the holidays.... I wonder why I haven't ever thought of that.
Ah well. This means that I don't really have any plans for specific games. And, truthfully, I don't really have any "festive" games.

We don't really have anything to get us into the Christmas spirit, however we do play #Roll for Your Life, Candyman! with the kids, as they love it! Fast and easy to play and, yes, there is some Christmas theme in there, although it's more of the canniblistic type than the "cheer" type haha

I was gonna ask...isn't the Candyman like totally ....the opposite of Christmas? LOL
