What Boardgame Video Would You Like to See?

I enjoy creating videos when time allows and inspiration strikes.  I find it challenging coming up with something meaningful for the community that isn't already out there.  Some ideas that have crossed my mind are doing playthroughs of less notable games, game strategy such as analyzing the upgrade buildings in #Orléans or strategic use of actions in #Paladins of the West Kingdom.  I did a couple featuring my favorite cards in #Wingspan and favorite visitors to look for in #Viticulture: Essential Edition.

I love the humor in Actualol (I am not that funny and my British accent is terrible), I love the love play throughs on Heavycardboard and short explanations on 3 Minute Board Games and Watch It Played, and unboxings are fun but I rarely get games early enough for that to be worthwhile (unboxing of my #Magic: The Gathering decks...lol)

WadeB1977 is my BGG handle and I believe my collection is uploaded on Board Game Atlas if there is something there that peaks interest and I keep overlooking.  Pretty much anything I do has to come from there, utilize my limited space and camera skills, and include the background sounds of my kids and cat more often than not.

I posted my solo play through this morning.  My final thoughts didn't record sadly.  I just respond to comments in the video.

I'm about halfway through the video now! My work week has unfortunately not given me a whole lot of downtime to do much of anything. I did have a clarifying question about the AI player's second turn. If I remember correctly, you flipped the king's order card, which would have caused the AI to take a commission action, but you stated he had 0 faith to be able to take the action. Doesn't the first spot on the board where you can commission require no faith?

There were a few other things I think you missed so far but overall I think this is very helpful in getting me to figure out where my only solo play went wrong lol. I was having trouble because my AI player never seemed to run out of workers. I think what I was doing was not placing them on the corresponding spaces when I'd draw the recruit, conspire, etc. cards. I would instead just take the action and, most of the time, the AI would gain a worker. I was wondering why I lost so bad on "easy" LOL!

You are correct sir! I utterly missed that. Yes, I thing there are times I also take the action for the automa but forget to place the pawn. Automa will win every time that way.

I think I have accidently given the automa a worker on his pray action at times when he should have only removed workers.

I am looking forward to Tomesaga and trying out the coop.

Awesome! I'll have to give this a watch later

Excellent votes!  I am working on #Paladins of the West Kingdom solo playthrough.

Some Paladins content would be interesting I think!

I see that there isn't a real solo run-through since Rahdo used the 2-player option and played as Jen.  Looks like a solo-playthrough is in order!

Another vote for Paladins!

I second this.

Thirded. The one time I tried to play solo I was getting killed by the AI on easy mode. Pretty sure I was doing something horribly wrong so a solo run through would be great.

I love this idea.  I do like the idea of favorite Visitor Cards in #Viticulture: Essential Edition, especially because I have a few from the #Viticulture: Visit from the Rhine Valley pack that I really like, so I could compare your favorites to mine.

If I were to do one I think I'd do what is my favorite Clan in #Clans of Caledonia and also which produced resource do I prefer to make (even if I can't because strategy doesn't allow it for my current game).

I like the #Orléans idea quite a bit. Might cause me to finally try some new strategies lol. If you have a playthrough of #Viticulture: Essential Edition somewhere too, I'd be interested to watch.

Are you interested in the solo of #Viticulture: Essential Edition or just a playthrough in general? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuLw81V6AQg&t=4576s is a Heavycardboard playthgough with #Tuscany: Essential Edition but I did not see a solo or one with all the Essential edition pieces.

Just one in general. I've never played but have heard good things

I think one thing missing from video game content is more video essays. There is a veritable sea of content on playthroughs, reviews, previews, rules tutorials, unboxes etc. but I love a well-researched video on an interesting topic.

The only real example I have for you is the NPI video on MTG & deckbuilding, which I thought was peerless and incredible.

Would you mind linking that video.  I'll have a better idea regarding context that way :)

I like the concept.  I have a few ideas that might work as far as fun videos that might be enjoyable. :)

I second this idea, love getting deeper into what makes games work/not work and how things develop across games/time
