I see that Porta Nigra is at an all time low. Anybody here play it? Is it worth $10-15 from cool stuff Inc?

I am a happy owner of #Porta Nigra. The SUSD review I felt was a bit harsh. It's a really good euro style Game. It also doesn't hurt that it cost me 11 dollars in total. It was a chance I took that I'm glad I did. It's competitive and intuitive, the only thing that can get a little confusing is the scoring but after playing it a few times it comes together and really is a good game.

Glad to hear you like it. I did end up buying it, I did end up buying it. But, I haven't seen it yet.

I picked it up for really cheap, somewhere in that $10 to $15 range, and I think it's totally worth it. I'm a big Kramer/Kiesling fan, so I'm always willing to give anything they do a try.
I enjoy action point allowance systems, a common mechanic in their games, and this one is rather streamlined. You have a few cards in your hand, you pick one to play, and then do two to four of the actions listed depending on the card. The board is broken up into 4 sections, each with it's own building requirements and area majority scoring.
Is it their best design? No. Is it worth playing for that price? Absolutely.

Glad to hear that. I ended up buying it. I paid 5.99 plus 5.99 shipping. It is waiting for me in ks. I think I might have a way to get it down here next week asking with some other games that are coming.

Well it’s Roman themed, which is a huge plus. Otherwise I don’t too much about the game.

It seems like I've heard some disappointing thinks about it when it came out, but I don't remember what they were.
Yeah, I think I watched a SUSD review that wasn’t terribly favorable.
