Here are all of the users who joined in the last 6 days! Please give them a warm welcome :)

Thanks for joining and I hope you find something worthwhile either through the community discussions, our search engine, or our latest giveaways! (Next Monday, I'll be launching a giveaway for #Glory To Rome)

Lastly, for us to get to know you, it'd be great if you could take the time to answer any of these questions:

  1. How did you find Board Game Atlas?
  2. How long have you been in the hobby?
  3. What are your favorite 3 games at the moment?

Again, a big thank you for coming on board and please feel free to give any feedback through a forum post or by giving me or  a direct message.

1. Reddit
2. Been playing board games since the '90s, but got way more into it and started branching out a lot more in 2015.

3. For Glory, Imperial, Gaia Project

Welcome!

And that's awesome. As someone who struggles with shipping out giveaway wins once it goes over 10 packages, fulfilling a Kickstarter always sounds like a nightmare on logistics side of things :)

Are there any new projects in the works?

Thanks! It certainly feels good to get the game into backers' hands! We're currently getting ready to start a new wave of playtesting on the first For Glory expansion, and we have more lined up after that. Can't produce them fast enough.

#Gaia Project is incredible! One of my favorite games!

Terra Mystica was sort of my gateway game. I was really into Netrunner, and basically only played Netrunner. Then one day I went to the store to play Netrunner, and no one was playing Netrunner, but some people invited me to play Terra Mystica, and I was blown away, even though it wasn't Netrunner. That's when I really started branching out into heavier board games. So of course I love Gaia Project too.

Welcome! I'm not familiar with the first two games you mentioned, but I know that #Gaia Project has a few fanboys on the forums here :)

Lol full disclosure, I designed For Glory, so my opinion may be biased. It was just released, and I figure it can't hurt to mention it. Imperial seems to have largely flown under the radar, despite being by world-famous designer Mac Gerdts. Glad to hear Gaia Project is getting some love, but I can't say I'm surprised.

Whoa that's so cool! What type of game is it?

Thank you! It's about owning a gladiator school in ancient Rome. Each round has two phases; one where you build up your school by recruiting and training gladiators with a deck-building mechanic, then one where you take turns attacking and playing cards to battle your opponent's gladiators in two different arenas.

That sounds awesome! I love deck builders so I will definitely have to check it out

Sweet! Let me know if you have any questions.

Oh wow, that's awesome! I'll have to check out #For Glory!

Hello everyone! Happy to be here!

  1. I saw an ad for BGA on a 3 Minute Board Games YouTube video
  2. I started playing board games in 2012 while in college
  3. #Eldritch Horror (solo), #Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: Jack the Ripper & West End Adventures (solo), and #Lost Cities

I'd like to find more games I can play solo or play with my partner who's more of a light gamer during COVID since we're still stuck at home. I recently bought #The 7th Continent: Classic Edition and #Leaving Earth, so I'm really excited to give those a try! Recommdations welcome!

Welcome! We started with#Kingdomino,#Patchwork,#Carcassonne, and#Azul. Any of those should be light enough and play at 2 :)

I found it on a video of 10 tips on making a board game by the creator of Scythe. It's an idea that I've been toying with for a while. A couple of years. I've just had trouble actually doing it. I've been playing board games since I can remember but making a board game is a first. At the moment I would say that RISK, Settlers of Catan and Tortuga are my favorite games. I would like to say A&A but I haven't been able to play it at all in recent years. I don't get to play a lot of strategy games because I don't have access to them. I will look into how I can get the give away's though.

Just checked out that video, thanks for mentioning it because I had no idea Jamey had done that.

Great to have you here!

I think Jamey has name dropped BoardGameAtlas a couple of times

Welcome! Any idea on what type of board game you'd wanna make?

I have a post of a in depth strategy that I'm working on.

Premium User41 days ago

Oh that was you? I'll have to go back and read it! I didn't at first cause I didn't think I'd have anything meaningful to contribute

I'm finding a lot of ideas on my post. I'd like a few more. If you could contribute some that would be great. I have outlined my design in the main post and in some of the comments. Thank's for reaching out!
