New: Site wide setting. Show prices on game results?
Since our merge with Board Game Prices I've been getting feedback that's pretty much the opposite of the feedback on the site I've gotten the last 2 years. Typically our users don't want to see prices and felt like the website looked too much like a store. So we focused on game information.
Now with a flood of users who value that and want to see that first I'm introducing a setting that is under the account dropdown to set if you want to prioritize seeing prices everywhere. That way any type of user can get what they're hoping for.

Good job as always@trentellingsen. I think this is a good compromise for users who don't want prices shown and users who do. Totally leaves it up to them whether to display it or not. Love it

Thank you for making it an optional setting. North American prices aren't of much use or interest, here in the UK. ;)

I've made another part of this setting. If you turn it on and go to a game page, it'll reorder the game info and prices to put one on top of the other.

Hmm, I think that's a good compromise. Just tried it and I do see the prices pretty much on all games - deals, popular, etc. That works. The only issue is that I think it's supposed to be a toggle, but selecting it again doesn't turn it off for me, so it's basically a one-way toggle? Anyway, I appreciate the fact that you listen to feedback and are trying to enhace the site for everyone!

It does toggle, but the button text doesn't update yet, haha. I'll update it to show the current state it's in, in just a few minutes.

Looks like it works fine now. Except for the Deals page. I know it doesn't make sense to NOT show prices on the Deals page, it's ok if they always show. But when I toggle, I actually see a different set of Clearance Games listed first with prices, not sure why?

Each time you refresh the page it shuffles the games that are shown. The lists are sometimes pretty long so the "See All" is there to see the full list.

Don't know if it would be possible but would love to have it so I could switch prices to default to Canada in my case rather than US

Also, there will be a couple more display settings that change based on that global setting but for now it just affects the search results to show prices.

Thanks for working hard to accommodate requests. Having a bunch of new users is good for the site but surely introduces some complications too
