Pretty interesting.  I like Azul and this seems like a nice followup.

This is actually the third game in the series, after #Azul: Stained Glass of Sintra

I can't bring myself to buy another Azul since I own the original. I'd love to play this and #Azul: Stained Glass of Sintra, but unless someone I know gets them, I'm not sure when I'll get to.

Oh well, can't play every game!

It definitely is pretty samey, I had Stained Glass and its fun...but at this point I would rather have a different game taking up its place on my shelf...

Yeah, I definitely don't doubt their quality or level of fun, but I agree.

You only need so many thinky fillers!

Yep, and considering I received #Tiny Towns as a Christmas gift, I definitely don't need another one! Those games feel similar when playing them. Very different, of course, but the feeling I get from playing them is similar.

Tiny towns definitely has some more variability, but yes, they are similar. Filling in a grid!

That's the same feeling that Trent expressed in his review video for Tiny Towns haha. I feel the same, I love the Azul tiles and it's a nice puzzle, but I enjoy the spatial awareness required by Tiny Towns. I also like that Tiny Towns presents a bigger challenge in you being able to play everything according to your plans. It's a lot more tactical where you have to think on your feet and it sure seems to have a better replay value.

Interesting - I think I still give the edge to Azul, but it's close. Here on BGA they're separated by about 0.1 star. That sounds about right to me.
