How do you store your board games?
How do you store your board games and why? Is there a proven best method that we all need to convert to?
I mostly go vertical. I keep a few horizontal but not by choice. Just limited storage space. I also don't have a Kallax shelf so going horizontal doesn't look all that good haha. I've considered going the color route just for fun but I just don't have enough space and number of games to work with.
Bonus points for pictures of your collection! :)

How many copies of Last Stand do you need?! LOL
But on a serious note, it looks more organized than monster to me.

Mostly vertical. The big boxes that don't have much of an insert are horizontal. It's just easier to grab a game if they're vertical! Plus I don't worry about boxes bending under the weight.

Same here. Mostly vertical, but some need to be stored horizontal. Otherwise, you have a component mess every time you set up the game.

Thanks! It won't be long before I'll have to start using the space for new games, though.

Yep, thanks! We like it. Almost always get comments on it when someone is at our place for the first time.

Vertical whenever possible. The exception would be some weird sized stuff, and games with a bunch of cards that will be messed up by vertical storage.

I maintain a very lean collection in El Salvador. I tend to take games to the states when I travel up, and then bring other games back. This is what I currently have here, except I also have #Dominion and #Spirit Island, which don't fit on this shelf.

Haha. Well as long as they're accurate I guess there's no need to take them down! I'm just now realizing from all your pictures...they're in two rows?!

It would drive me crazy to have some facing one way and some facing the other way like that lol

Haha, makes sense. I think I would still have to switch it, but I'm particular like that.
